Island Park Scout Camp
Island Park Scout Camp is a beautiful Scouts BSA summer camp located in eastern Idaho near Yellowstone National Park. Established in 1974, the camp offers a diverse range of activities and programs designed to provide Scouts with memorable outdoor experiences.
Island Park Scout Camp Features
IPSC is located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, just miles from the wilderness areas of Yellowstone National Park. As a result, outdoor recreation is plentiful. Popular activities include hiking, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, fishing, and scenic touring.
Additionally, Island Park Scout Camp is situated east of the town of Last Chance in Fremont County, Idaho. It spans 160 acres at an elevation of 6,300 feet. Its scenic setting includes access to a private lake, which supports fishing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, and other aquatic activities. Furthermore, the camp features high and low COPE courses and shooting ranges. Finally, wildlife sightings are common, and guests may even spot a moose or pronghorn during their stay.
The Grand Teton Council runs three sessions of traditional Scout Camp, two sessions of Cedar Badge leadership camp, and Family Adventure Camp in Island Park each year. Our nostalgic, rustic facilities are also available for non-Scouting use by many outside groups (young women camp, priesthood encampment, youth conferences, school organizations, corporate retreats, family reunions, weddings, and more!).
